Bluegrass at TileWorks - September 24th 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper with Josh Daniels and Friends
Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper - Michael Cleveland was born in 1980 in Henryville, Indiana. He was born completely blind and lost hearing in his left ear at the age of 4. However, he loved the sound of trains, and the sound of the fiddle and has become one of the finest bluegrass fiddle players that has ever lived. He won a Grammy in 2020, has won the IBMA Fiddle Player Award at least 10 times, and was recently awarded the National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts in 2022.
Josh Daniels and Friends - Josh Daniels has been singing and playing bluegrass his whole life. Heavily influenced by the high lonesome vocal sound of Bill Monroe and Del McCoury. Josh sings with feeling, and a depth or respect for those that preceded him. He has put together a band of his friends who are extraordinary musicians he has met over the years playing the music he loves. Warren Blair and Jon Glik on twin fiddles - both have recorded with Del McCoury over the years. Mike Munford on banjo! IMBA Banjo Award Winner in 2017. Heath Laird on bass and Mark MacGlashan on mandolin.
