This summer, TileWorks of Bucks County presents Camp Pathfinder at The Moravian Pottery and Tile Works on the grounds of Fonthill Park in Doylestown, PA.
Camp Pathfinder brings to life the graphic novel by co-authors Francesco Sedita and Prescott Seraydarian. The authors, inspired by our very own founder Henry Mercer, aka Henry Merriweather, an historic explorer and inventor, follows a group of curious campers who work together to unlock the mysteries of a lost treasure.
”Plus Ultra” Is the theme of our one week, half day camp, Plus Ultra, “More beyond”, suggests pushing limits and opening up to possibilities. Our art camp is sure to ignite the art of storytelling, while our campers are on their path to discover the lost treasure.
Our campers will hunt for treasure, collaborate on action riddles, and craft their own adventures through graphic storytelling and clay. They’ll engage with TileWorks’ artisans, interact with the authors of The Pathfinders’ Society, and tour Fonthill Castle.
Camp Director Amanda Gerace, TileWork's lead on Learning, Community Engagement and Visitor Experience, has eight years of experience working with children in the community through camps, art, sports, and volunteering. Please email questions about Camp Pathfinders to amanda@thetileworks.org
