During our one half-day summer camp, budding sculptors will explore the endless possibilities of making things out of earth under the direction of local artist Amanda Gerace as they make a coil flower pot and a Mercer-inspired tile. First, the children will take a nature walk through the woods surrounding the tile works, gathering organic objects for inspiration. Each young artist will glaze their masterpiece.
Between clay-building and glazing, participants will enjoy snacks, games and activities inspired by the museum's rich history. It's a perfect blend of learning and play, designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Tileworks provides all the tools, materials, and a light snack needed to give your child a hands-on experience that sparks joy, hones artistic skills, and creates cherished memories.

Cancellation Policy
If you register for one of our classes or workshops and are unable to attend for any reason, there are no refunds or credits available unless we are able to fill your spot with someone on the waitlist. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to miss your class. If we are able to fill your spot there is a $10.00 fee to cover our time and our processing fees. You are welcome to send someone in your place if you cannot make it, just let us know prior to the class so we can update our rosters. Please note a minimum of 4 people is required for most classes to run. If you have enrolled in a class or workshop that does not meet the minimum requirement to run, you will be issued a full refund. If you have any questions about our cancellation policy, we are happy to answer them prior to signing up to clarify.
