Linoleum Block Carving and Printing Class - Saturday, December 2nd 12:00pm to 2:30pm

Begin to get festive for the season of giving! Join local artist Amanda Gerace in a relief style printmaking class where participants learn to carve their own tiles on easy to cut rubber carving blocks using linocut tools.  Relief printing is a process where a tile block is carved, cut, or etched in a manner where all that remains on the surface is the design to be printed.
After carving tiles, artists will create a design and learn to use a brayer and print with permanent fabric paint on 2 heavy duty cotton bags provided for each artist. Pre-cut tiles will also be available for printing. Bags can also be personalized with a name or quote.

An apron is recommended, all other materials provided.
Ages 13 to Adult
Due to the sharpness of the tools, this class is not recommended for young children
