In this class, multi-media artist Ricky of Luna Parc will guide the participants through his unique technique of concrete forming. Each person will be provided a metal lath armature and create a vessel approximately 22” tall and 18” wide.
Day one will be establishing the forms in concrete and by the end of the day we’ll begin embellishing with tile, pottery shards, glass objects and more. With individual instruction, each participant will create a totally individual piece. Grouting and coloring will be demonstrated but because of concrete setting times this step may need to be done at home.
Materials you’ll need: a sturdy pair of leather tight fitting gloves and tile, pottery shards, glass and plastic objects.
