Learn Raku with the well known local artist, Eric Boynton from Clay Rat Studio! Eric will supply you with a 6 inch vessel which you will decorate with glazes that are perfect for Raku. They will be fired right there on the spot in a special kiln. When the pieces are at the height of their firing, Eric will take the pieces out of the kiln glowing hot and put them in an organic material to reduce the oxygen. This reduction causes the glazes to have a metallic look. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to create using this Japanese technique originally used in the 1550’s!
