A half day workshop exploring primitive pottery techniques with Melissa "Mesa" Matarese. This is an opportunity to explore, expand & deepen our relationship with nature through wild clay with simple tools and local materials.

- Pinching, coiling & scraping a wild clay pot
- Creating brushes & tools made from natural objects
- Making engobe (colored slip) made from locally harvested pigments for pot decoration
- Polishing & burnishing
- How to set up a bonfire/open air ring
- How to naturally seal your pot

- A leather-hard, decorated pot made with locally sourced wild clay & engobe
